Today is Canada’s first official National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This is an important small step for our country as we grapple with a past we’d rather forget and difficult questions about how to move forward well.
If you are looking for ways to commemorate the day, the Government of Canada offers up some great ideas on its official page for the day. I’d also like to draw your attention once again to my recent series, ‘Setting our Stories Straight,’ which was my attempt at starting to address some of the ways Christianity contributed to the horrors of European colonialism.
