Matthew Root is a civil servant and Christian writer and speaker living in Toronto. He is also a son, brother and friend, an avid reader, a long-time blogger, and a lover of baseball, jazz, architecture, and art. He is motivated by the big questions of life, identity, and faith and brings to these questions a unique integral perspective forged from a life lived anywhere from small indigenous communities in the Canadian North to the diverse metropolis of Toronto, and from a spiritual journey that has brought him into contact with influences spanning not only the breadth of the Christian tradition, but also a wide range of religious, philosophical, and psychological thought from across time and around the world.
